Frequently asked questions
How do I convert an hourly wage to a yearly salary?
Multiply the hourly wage by hours per week, then by 52. At 40 hours a week, $25 an hour is $25 × 40 × 52 = $52,000 a year.
What is $20 an hour per year in Canada?
$41,600 a year before tax at 40 hours a week, or $39,000 at 37.5 hours.
Should I count vacation weeks?
If you are paid for vacation, use 52 weeks. If you're paid only for hours worked, reduce the weeks to match, for example 50 weeks with two unpaid weeks off.
